Wrist Arthroscopy

Wrist arthroscopy is a procedure used to diagnose and treat problems of the wrist which results from injury to the bone or ligaments, cysts or repetitive use. This minimally-invasive procedure is performed in an outpatient setting through small incisions, minimizing damage to the muscle and tissue. An arthroscope is inserted through the incisions to permit your surgeon to view images of the affected area for diagnostic and treatment purposes. Generally, the wrist should be elevated for a few days after the surgery. Mild pain is typical relieved with anti-inflammatory medications.
